Shortly before 12:30 a.m. on May 31, Surrey Police Service officers responded to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered a man with gunshot wounds inside a vehicle that had struck a power pole. Despite life-saving efforts by first responders, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigation Underway
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has assumed control of the case. Surrey Police Service Sgt. Ali Gailus stated that no arrests have been made and no suspect information is currently available. IHIT is collaborating with SPS officers and is urging anyone with information to come forward.
