One person has been airlifted to hospital following a shooting in Langley, British Columbia, according to local police. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening, prompting a swift response from emergency services.

Langley RCMP reported that officers were dispatched to the area of 196 Street and 28 Avenue shortly after 5 p.m. after receiving reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, police, paramedics, and first responders discovered a single individual in medical distress.
The victim was immediately transported to a hospital with serious injuries, confirmed Constable Meghan Marsden of the Langley RCMP in an official statement. The nature of the injuries has not been disclosed, but the victim's condition is being closely monitored by medical staff.
