Homicide investigators have assumed control of a case after two individuals were discovered dead in Langley, British Columbia. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) is now leading the inquiry into what authorities have described as a suspicious incident.
Details of the Incident
On Monday, shortly after 11 a.m., Langley RCMP officers responded to a call in the 21000-block of 16th Avenue. Upon arrival, first responders—including police, fire, and paramedics—located two deceased individuals at the scene. The area has been cordoned off with police tape, and drivers who typically use this busy route should anticipate traffic disruptions.
Langley RCMP Sgt. Zynal Sharoom stated in a news release: “While this investigation is in its infancy, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called in.” Sharoom confirmed that any future updates regarding the investigation will be provided by IHIT.
