Greene Warns of Revolution if US Troops Enter Iran

Former Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) issued a stark warning on Sunday regarding the potential deployment of U.S. military forces to Iran under former President Donald Trump. In a post on X, she declared that such an action would trigger a political revolution within the United States.

Greene's Warning

“If you send in U.S. military troops into Iran, there is going to be a political revolution in America,” Greene wrote. “WE. ARE. DONE,” she continued. “We said no more foreign wars, and we meant it. The coalition will unite and be unstoppable. I’ll make sure of it.”

She added, “End this war. It’s stupid.” Greene, once a close ally of Trump, has since distanced herself from him over disagreements on the Iran conflict, the Epstein issue, and other matters. Trump has responded by calling her a “lunatic.”

Context of the Warning

Greene’s remarks came amid escalating tensions with Iran. Trump recently warned that “the clock is ticking” on peace negotiations, referencing the fragile ceasefire to “Operation Epic Fury,” a military campaign he initiated in February. On his Truth Social platform, Trump wrote, “For Iran, the clock is ticking, and they better get moving fast, or there won’t be anything left of them. Time is of the essence.” Critics have interpreted these statements as genocidal.

The possibility of U.S. ground troops entering Iran has raised alarm among anti-war activists and some politicians. Greene’s warning underscores a growing divide within the Republican Party over foreign policy, particularly regarding military intervention in the Middle East.
