Calgary Police have arrested the fourth and final suspect in a fatal shooting that occurred in Ogden late last year, with connections to organized crime. The suspect, Yahya Abdullahi, 22, was taken into custody by Edmonton police on a Canada-wide warrant on June 9, 2026.
Charges and Court Appearance
Abdullahi has been charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder in connection with the death of 32-year-old Feysal Osman Abdul-Aziz. He is scheduled to appear in court on June 16, 2026.
Details of the Incident
On December 10, 2025, police responded to a call in the 7000 block of 20 Street S.E. in Ogden, where they found Abdul-Aziz deceased outside his vehicle. Shortly after the incident, two men—Aken Bolakok Aken, 23, and Ayomide Opemipo Adeyinka, 21, both from Edmonton—along with a youth who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, were arrested by Tsuut'ina Nation Police. However, one suspect managed to flee the scene.
Organized Crime Links
Inspector Darren Smith of the Calgary Police Service Major Crimes Section stated in a press release that the shooting was a targeted incident believed to have connections to organized crime. He emphasized that while homicides have decreased compared to previous years, the impact of such violence on the community is significant, even if there is no current active risk to the public.
