Edmonton School Janitor Charged with Child Sexual Exploitation Offenses
Edmonton Janitor Charged with Child Sexual Exploitation

A custodian at a Catholic school in Edmonton has been arrested and charged with child sexual exploitation offenses following an investigation by the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT) Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) unit.

Arrest and Charges

Crispolo Comillas, 47, was arrested on June 18 and faces charges of accessing and possessing child sexual exploitation materials. He has been released from custody under conditions and is scheduled to appear in court on July 6, according to an ALERT news release on Tuesday.

At the time of his arrest, Comillas was employed as a janitor at Louis St. Laurent Catholic Junior/Senior High School, located near 112 Street and 43 Avenue. The ICE unit expressed concern that Comillas' employment at the school put him in direct contact with youth, although the charges are related to online activities.
