A fire in an East Windsor neighbourhood has displaced four individuals and caused an estimated $750,000 in damages to two homes, according to Windsor Fire and Rescue Services.

Fire Details

Firefighters responded to the blaze in the 1500 block of Labadie Road shortly after 11 p.m. The fire originated outside at the back of one of the houses, officials reported. The exact source remains under investigation.

In a social media post, Windsor Fire and Rescue Services stated: "Smoking materials and a propane heater found in the area of origin making it difficult to determine the ignition source."

Damage and Displacement

Investigators estimate that one home incurred approximately $500,000 in damages, resulting in one person being displaced. The second home suffered about $250,000 in damages, displacing three individuals. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation as authorities work to identify the ignition source. Residents in the area are advised to remain cautious.
