A cyclist was transported to the Hull Hospital with unspecified injuries after being struck by a school bus in Chelsea on Thursday afternoon. The collision occurred at the intersection of Route 105 and Alonzo Wright Road at approximately 3:30 p.m., according to police from the MRC des Collines-de-l'Outaouais.
Police reported that the bus struck the cyclist as they attempted to cross Route 105 toward the Alonzo Bridge. No injuries were reported among those on the school bus.
Traffic in the area was expected to be disrupted for an indefinite period. Southbound traffic was alternating, while northbound traffic was completely halted. The cause of the collision remains under investigation by authorities.
