Calgary Single-Vehicle Crash Sends Man to Hospital

The Calgary Police Service traffic unit is investigating an early-morning single-vehicle collision that sent one man to hospital Sunday.

At 6:20 a.m., a man in his 20s was driving a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze southbound on Macleod Trail at 94th Avenue S.E. when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a traffic signal pole on the centre median.

The driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle at the time of the crash. He was transported to hospital in life-threatening condition and has since been upgraded to stable, though he sustained life-altering injuries.
