A 34-year-old man from Spruce Grove, Alberta, has been charged after an incident in which he allegedly struck a person with his vehicle and then attacked them with a hammer, according to RCMP.
Details of the Incident
Police responded to reports of an assault in Spruce Grove on July 1, 2026. Upon arrival, officers found a victim with injuries consistent with being hit by a vehicle and struck with a hammer. The suspect was arrested at the scene without further incident.
The victim was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, RCMP said in a news release.
Charges Laid
The accused faces charges including aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. He was remanded into custody pending a bail hearing.
