Windsor police have charged one suspect and are searching for additional individuals after a cyclist was shot with an airsoft rifle on June 24 near the intersection of Wyandotte Street West and Crawford Avenue.

Details of the Incident

Officers responded at approximately 4:45 p.m. to a report of an assault on the city's west side. A cyclist riding his bicycle was shot multiple times by an airsoft rifle. Police determined that the shots were fired from a stolen 2025 Toyota RAV4.

The cyclist did not sustain physical injuries, according to police.

Arrest and Ongoing Investigation

Later that evening, officers with the target base unit recovered the stolen vehicle in the 900 block of Church Street. The driver, a 24-year-old man, was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000.

Police continue to search for additional suspects involved in the assault. They ask anyone living in the area who has surveillance or dashcam footage to review the recordings and contact investigators if anything suspicious was captured.
