Bo Bichette's $126 Hot Dog at Animl Supports Charity

Animl, a steak house in Toronto, has introduced the Bo Dog, a $126 hot dog named after former Blue Jays star Bo Bichette. All proceeds from the specialty item will be donated to Bichette's charity during his return to Rogers Centre from June 29 to July 1 as a member of the New York Mets.

The Bo Dog's Luxurious Ingredients

The Bo Dog features a Wagyu hot dog, truffle corn relish, butter-poached Atlantic lobster, and seared Quebec foie gras. The price tag of $126 is a nod to Bichette's $126 million, three-year contract with the Mets. Animl, located on Wellington Street, previously offered Bichette "steak for life" if he re-signed with the Blue Jays.

Previous Offer: Steak for Life

In January, Animl publicly urged Bichette to stay in Toronto with a promise of free steak for life. The restaurant's social media post read: "Dear Bo Bichette, Toronto suits you. The city, the energy, the fans — it all feels right, much like a perfectly cooked steak. At Animl, we believe in commitments that last — the craft, the care, and the city we call home. In that spirit, we ask you to re-sign with the Toronto Blue Jays — and consider this our promise: Steak for life on us. No negotiations. No fine print. Just a standing reservation at our table. Stay in Toronto. We'll handle dinner, you bring home the hardware."

Bichette's Recent Performance

After an injury-plagued 2024 season, Bichette rebounded during the Blue Jays' 2025 World Series run, batting .311 with 18 home runs and 94 RBIs. The 28-year-old infielder from Orlando, Florida, debuted with the Jays in 2019 and became a free agent on Nov. 5 after the World Series. He subsequently signed a three-year, $126 million deal with the New York Mets.

Charitable Initiative

Animl confirmed that 100% of sales from the Bo Dog will go to Bichette's charity. The restaurant went viral earlier in the season for its "free steak for life" offer, and now aims to support Bichette's philanthropic efforts while he plays against his former team.
