7-Eleven Canada Marks 60 Years of Slurpee with Special Drops

7-Eleven Canada is celebrating the 60th anniversary of the iconic Slurpee frozen beverage with a series of special products, promotions, and events, including a free small Slurpee on July 11, 2026, for 7-Eleven Day. The anniversary campaign features new Slurpee Soda drinks in collaboration with Canadian beverage company Collective Arts, Slurpee Gummies, Slurpee Dip n' Dunk Lollipops, and a summer 7-Eleven Slurpee & Food Truck pop-up.

Free Slurpee and Birthday Flavour on 7-Eleven Day

On July 11, customers at any 7-Eleven Canada store can enjoy a free small Slurpee featuring the limited-time Mountain Dew Cake Smash flavour. Additional 7-Eleven Day deals include $0.71 wings, 711 bonus points for 7Rewards members, and BOGO promotions on beverages from smartwater, Brisk, Electrolit, and Monster Energy, running from July 8 to 18.

New Slurpee Soda Collaboration with Collective Arts

7-Eleven Canada has partnered with Collective Arts to launch a line of Slurpee Soda drinks that offer a classic Slurpee experience in a low-calorie, low-sugar format. The sodas come in three flavours: Lychee Lemonade, Blue Raspberry Lemon Lime, and Birthday Cake. The Birthday Cake flavour is a limited-edition release for the 60th anniversary. Each can retails for $1.99, contains five grams of cane sugar, and is available at 7-Eleven Canada stores.

“Canada’s love of the Slurpee brand is strong. It was only natural to reinforce this big year by working with a local brand like Collective Arts to create a distinctly Canadian way of celebrating the iconic beverage’s birthday,” said Marc Goodman, Vice President and General Manager of 7-Eleven Canada. “The Slurpee drink is a nostalgic summer staple that is particularly relevant in Canada given that Winnipeg is the Slurpee Capital of the World.”

Artist Collaborations and Limited-Edition Treats

The Slurpee Soda can art was designed by Hamilton, Ontario artist Art Club Mary, featuring bold and colourful styling. Additional Canadian artists will paint murals on select 7-Eleven stores this summer in collaboration with Collective Arts. Alongside the sodas, 7-Eleven is releasing Slurpee Gummies and Slurpee Dip n' Dunk Lollipops, extending the brand into new confectionery categories.

“Slurpee drinks are something most of us grew up with,” said Matt Johnston, CEO and Co-Founder of Collective Arts. “We loved the idea of taking something so iconic and pushing it somewhere new. The Slurpee Soda drinks are exactly that – same flavours and same fun, just showing up in ways you wouldn’t expect. And doing it with low sugar, low calorie drinks means you can come back to it more often.”

Summer Pop-Up Events and Nationwide Celebrations

7-Eleven Canada will also host a summer Slurpee & Food Truck pop-up tour, bringing the celebration to communities across the country. The 60th anniversary promotions aim to highlight Slurpee's enduring popularity in Canada, where Winnipeg has held the title of Slurpee Capital of the World for multiple years. Since its introduction in 1966, Slurpee has become a cultural icon, and this milestone anniversary underscores its continued relevance in Canadian summer traditions.
