Best CC Cream and Tinted SPF Replacements for Supergoop CC Screen Fans
Top CC Cream & Tinted SPF Replacements for Supergoop Fans

We have previously consulted makeup artists to learn which beauty products they use to achieve a youthful look. One artist, Jeanette Aguirre, lead makeup artist for Glamsquad based in Los Angeles, recommended the Supergoop CC Screen, a now-discontinued formula with a devoted following. On a Reddit thread, CC Screen enthusiasts expressed their disappointment over the discontinuation of a product many called their "go-to," praising its "glowy effect" and "lasting finish." If you are unfamiliar with CC creams, they are typically hybrid products that combine color-correcting foundation with skincare, enriched with ingredients like SPF, hyaluronic acid, and niacinamide. In my experience, they provide a natural look without the heaviness of full-coverage foundations. "I love products that combine SPF and hyaluronic acid because they create that perfect balance of protection and hydration," Aguirre told HuffPost. "When the skin is plump and nourished, everything you layer on top looks better and lasts longer, making these products kit staples for me, as they give that glowy, hydrated finish while protecting the skin."

Since Aguirre's Supergoop CC Screen recommendation is no longer available, we reached out to her for similar replacements for those mourning their favorite glowy SPF formula. See her favorites below, along with substitutes found by Reddit users. The experts consulted for this story do not necessarily endorse the products ahead unless otherwise noted.

1. Supergoop Glow Screen

One of Aguirre's replacement products for the Supergoop CC Screen is the Glow Screen, a bestselling sunscreen that blurs imperfections and enhances skin with a dewy radiance. Available in four sheer tints, it is infused with hyaluronic acid, vitamin B5, and niacinamide to nourish, hydrate, and protect. With SPF 40, this non-mineral formula also defends against blue light damage. While intended as a makeup primer, it can be used alone for no-makeup days. I personally used this as a daily staple for years and consider it my favorite Supergoop product. Available at Amazon, Sephora, and Nordstrom for $38.

2. It Cosmetics CC+ Cream

Another Reddit recommendation is a formula I know well—it is my exclusive foundation of choice and a product I have praised before. The It Cosmetics CC+ Cream is a multitasking cream that imperceptibly conceals bumpy texture, dryness, and redness. With SPF 50+, it contains niacinamide to brighten and reduce redness, skin-plumping peptides to minimize fine lines, hyaluronic acid for hydration, and antioxidants to combat environmental damage. Available in 29 shades for $39 at Amazon, Sephora, and Nordstrom.

3. Erborian CC Crème

The same Reddit thread revealed the Erborian CC Crème as a good replacement for the Supergoop CC Screen. This cream evens tone, smooths texture, blurs imperfections, and hydrates using unique encapsulated pigments for a bright, natural finish. Available in three shades, it features centella asiatica extract to soothe irritation and calm redness. It has a strong fan base at HuffPost; after one editor called it a "miracle product," four others endorsed it as "magical" and "SO GOOD." Available at Amazon, Ulta, and Revolve starting at $26.

4. Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40

"[This] is a protective tint with hyaluronic acid and niacinamide for a fresh, dewy glow that provides coverage," Aguirre said of this cult-favorite tinted serum by Ilia. I have tried this ultra-hydrating formula for light coverage and even skin tone. It offers mineral SPF 40 and squalane for hydration. There is a learning curve: it gives a very dewy finish, so I avoid thick creams underneath and work it into skin like a lotion, then dust with powder to control shine. Available in 30 shades for $48 at Amazon, Sephora, and Nordstrom.

5. Tatcha Silk Sunscreen

Aguirre called the Tatcha Silk Sunscreen a silky, weightless formula that smoothes and primes the skin. "[It's] great for mature skin as well," she said. This mineral sunscreen is ideal for those who prefer untinted formulas and have chronically dry skin, thanks to hyaluronic acid. It also contains niacinamide to brighten skin tone and silk extract to smooth texture. Available at Amazon, Sephora, and Ulta for $64.

6. Australian Gold Botanical Tinted Face BB Cream

Several Supergoop CC Screen lovers on Reddit shared convincing replacements, including the Australian Gold Botanical Tinted Face, a daily mineral lotion with SPF 50. It has a lightweight feel and a natural-mattifying finish. The tinted formula is infused with soothing ingredients like red algae and eucalyptus, along with antioxidant-rich plants to nourish and protect skin. Available at Amazon and Walmart for $17.
