Police in Manitouwadge, northwestern Ontario, have charged two individuals following a drug and weapons investigation. The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed a search warrant at a residence on May 22, 2026, seizing a quantity of suspected cocaine, a firearm, an undisclosed amount of cash, and a digital scale.

Details of the Seizure

The OPP's Manitouwadge detachment, along with the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, conducted the operation. The items seized include a handgun, a significant amount of cocaine, and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking. The estimated street value of the drugs has not been released.

Charges Laid

Two individuals, a 34-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman from Manitouwadge, face charges including possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and possession of proceeds of crime. Both were held for a bail hearing and are scheduled to appear in court on June 10, 2026.
