OPP Seizes Fentanyl, Meth in Northern Ontario Drug Raid

Ontario Provincial Police executed a search warrant on a home in Cobalt, Ont., on June 16, 2026, seizing approximately 251 grams of suspected fentanyl along with methamphetamine, oxycodone, cash and other drug trafficking paraphernalia.

The OPP reported that the raid took place as part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking in the region. Officers seized a significant quantity of drugs, including fentanyl, a powerful opioid that has been linked to numerous overdose deaths across Canada.

In addition to the fentanyl, police found methamphetamine, oxycodone pills, and an undisclosed amount of cash believed to be proceeds from drug sales. Various items commonly used in drug trafficking, such as scales and packaging materials, were also confiscated.
