One of my greatest insecurities has always been how frequently and severely red my eyes get. And I am not talking just a little bloodshot. I am talking a distracting shade of pink, accompanied by dryness, itching and all the other telltale symptoms of eye irritation. “This [ingredient] can lead to ‘rebound redness,’ where vessels become more dilated after prolonged or frequent use. Lumify is a safer alternative that provides the desired cosmetic effect without these risks,” she said.

Guidelines for Contact Lens Wearers

Esfahani also cautions those who experience redness as a chronic symptom to see an eye care professional to rule out underlying conditions.
“Redness is often a symptom of an underlying issue, such as contact lens complications, dry eye syndrome, blepharitis, or digital eye strain. While Lumify is effective for masking redness, it is always better to address the root cause through a routine eye exam and lifestyle adjustments,” she said.
