In a tragic development, Saskatchewan RCMP have confirmed that the remains of a 16-year-old boy from Ontario have been discovered near the northern community of Pelican Narrows, nearly a year after he was reported missing. The case is now being investigated as a homicide.

On May 13, 2026, during a planned search of the area around Pelican Narrows, RCMP located Webb-Long's remains. The discovery prompted the RCMP Major Crimes Unit to take over the investigation, which had already been deemed suspicious a month after his disappearance.
