Troilus Welcomes Quebec Leaders for 70 MW Hydro Power

Troilus Mining Corp. (TSX: TLG; OTCQX: CHXMF; FSE: CM5) recently welcomed representatives from the Government of Quebec to its Troilus Copper-Gold Project in north-central Quebec for the official announcement of a 70-megawatt (MW) hydroelectric power allocation to the project. The announcement was made on June 8, 2026, by Bernard Drainville, Minister of Economy, Innovation and Energy, and Kateri Champagne Jourdain, Minister of Natural Resources and Forests, alongside Denis Lamothe, Member of the National Assembly for Ungava.

Government and Community Support

The event brought together officials from Hydro-Quebec, members of the Cree community, regional stakeholders, municipal representatives including Chibougamau Mayor Nichèle Compartino, and media. Ministers Drainville and Champagne Jourdain highlighted the role of projects like Troilus in supporting Quebec's critical minerals strategy, regional economic development, and long-term energy transition objectives amid growing global demand for copper. Mr. Lamothe emphasized the project's importance for Northern Quebec and recognized Troilus' commitment to creating long-term opportunities for regional workers, businesses, and communities.
