Ottawa Police Search for Missing Paddleboarder

Ottawa police are requesting the public's assistance in locating a Gatineau man who disappeared while paddleboarding on the Ottawa River west of downtown Saturday evening.

In a statement issued Sunday, police reported that Robson Florentino, 38, was last seen entering the river on a paddleboard at approximately 5:30 p.m. from the Gatineau shoreline, directly across from Andrew Haydon Park. He has not been seen or heard from since, raising serious concerns for his safety and well-being.

Description of the Missing Person

Florentino is described as a Hispanic male with brown hair, standing five feet seven inches tall and possessing a muscular build. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing red board shorts and a baseball hat. Authorities urge anyone who may have seen him or has information about his whereabouts to come forward.
