Ottawa police reported that the intersection of Carling Avenue and Kirkwood Avenue is closed in all directions due to the water main break. Additionally, the westbound off-ramp from Highway 417 to Kirkwood Avenue is also shut down. Drivers are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
Crews from the City of Ottawa are on site assessing the damage and working to repair the water main. The cause of the break is not yet known, and there is no estimated time for when the road will reopen.
