A Century of Canine Excellence
Founded in 1916, the Regina Kennel and Obedience Club has been a cornerstone for dog enthusiasts in Saskatchewan. The anniversary celebration highlights the club's long-standing commitment to promoting responsible dog ownership, training, and competition.
Annual Trials Underway
The annual dog trials, a highlight of the club's calendar, feature various obedience and agility events. Dogs and their handlers compete in categories testing skills, discipline, and teamwork. The event also serves as a gathering for the local canine community, fostering camaraderie and shared passion.
Club president Mary Thompson expressed pride in reaching this milestone. "For 110 years, our club has brought together people who love dogs and want to improve their training and behavior. It's wonderful to see so many families here today," she said.
The trials continue through the weekend at the Caledonian Curling Club, with awards for top performers in each category.
