Experts have confirmed that three tornadoes and a downburst touched down in southeast Saskatchewan during recent storms, according to the Northern Tornadoes Project.
The most severe was an EF1 tornado near Carnduff, which destroyed an outbuilding and caused other damage along its path on June 7, 2026.
In addition to the Carnduff tornado, two other tornadoes and a downburst were identified in the region, though they caused less damage.
The Northern Tornadoes Project, based at Western University, investigates severe weather events across Canada to improve understanding and warning systems.
Residents are advised to stay alert during storm season and report any damage to local authorities.
