The Just For Laughs Vancouver comedy festival is preparing for a monumental celebration, marking its 10th anniversary with an expansive program set for February 2026. The milestone event will transform the city into a comedy hub with over 100 talent-packed shows featuring more than 250 artists from February 12 to 22.
A Decade of Laughter in Vancouver
Heather Wallace, the founding partner and Festival Director, expressed her enthusiasm for the festival's home in Vancouver. "The city is a natural home for a festival like this," Wallace stated. "Audiences here are curious, smart and forward-thinking — they show up, take chances and enthusiastically support comedy in all its forms. We also have one of the strongest local comedy communities in the country, and that energy fuels the entire festival."
She highlighted the unique combination of Vancouver's creative culture, vibrant venues, and stunning scenery as the perfect backdrop for what promises to be an unforgettable celebration of comedy.
Star-Studded Lineup for the Anniversary
The 2026 festival boasts an impressive and diverse roster of comedic talent. Headliners include internationally acclaimed acts such as James Acaster, who will perform at the Orpheum on February 15, and Michelle Buteau, star of Netflix's Survival Of The Thickest, who takes the stage at the Vogue Theatre on February 22.
They are joined by a wide array of performers, including Laura Ramoso, Phil Rosenthal, Brent Butt, Atsuko Okatsuka, and Dropout Improv. The programming is a deliberate mix of international headliners, rising stars, popular digital creators, and the best of local Canadian talent, ensuring a snapshot of the current comedy landscape.
Diverse Comedy Experiences Across the City
As Western Canada's largest comedy festival, the event will span multiple venues across Vancouver. The schedule is packed with a variety of formats designed to appeal to every comedy taste.
Attendees can look forward to:

"This year’s lineup reflects everything we love about this festival," said Wallace. "Our goal is always the same: create a lineup that feels intentional, exciting, current, diverse, ahead of the curve and unmistakably Vancouver. I’m proud of the balance we’ve struck."
