This announcement marks the organization's 19th season of bringing boundary-pushing movement arts to local audiences.

Diverse International Lineup for the Upcoming Season
The 2026-27 season will feature a rich tapestry of performances from choreographers and companies hailing from Canada, India, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. The schedule is packed with notable events, including:

- One North American premiere
- The return of the Olivier Award-winning Assembly Hall by Kidd Pivot

ODE – Compagnie Catherine Gaudet (Montréal)
Dates: October 23-24, 2026
This new work channels the industrial happiness complex into a stripped-down exploration of group-think conformity and cultural collapse.
Knitting Peace – Cirkus Cirkör (Sweden)
Dates: January 27-30, 2027
A co-presentation with The Cultch, this performance is described as more circus than dance, filled with spectacular elements that promise to captivate audiences.
Forbidden – Aditi Mangaldas Dance Company (India)
Dates: February 26-27, 2027
This North American premiere features Aditi Mangaldas' solo exploration of female sexuality, blending traditional Kathak dance with elements from the Kama Sutra.
Assembly Hall – Kidd Pivot (Vancouver)
Dates: March 17-20, 2027
Following its world premiere in the 2023-24 DanceHouse season, this dance theatre hybrid returns with eight performers exploring the human need to gather and belong, showcasing a range of emotions and experiences.
Deepstaria – Company Wayne McGregor (U.K.)
Dates: April 15-17, 2027
This British Columbia premiere takes its name from a rare species of deep-sea jellyfish that lives under crushing atmospheric pressure and darkness, promising a visually stunning and conceptually rich performance.
