Woman Body-Slammed at Celebrity Chef's San Francisco Restaurant in Viral Altercation
Woman body-slammed at SF restaurant in viral fight

A violent altercation at a San Francisco restaurant owned by a celebrity chef has been captured in a series of now-viral videos, leading to an arrest for public intoxication. The incident occurred at Hazie's restaurant, which is owned by Joey Altman, known for co-hosting the Food Network series Appetite for Adventure.

Chaos Erupts Over Service Dispute

The situation began when a woman, who appeared to be intoxicated, confronted staff behind the bar. In footage shared on TikTok by bartender Miguel Marchese, the woman is seen slurring her words and holding up her phone, accusing the manager and owner of harassment. "Alright, the manager and the owner at Hazie’s just f—ing harassed me!" she exclaims in the video.

She then turned her attention to an employee, demanding, "Did you touch my arm?" and calling him a liar when he denied it. While a man attempted to escort her out, she appeared to comply briefly before noticing another staff member filming her. She then tried to swat the phone out of his hand.

The Confrontation Turns Physical

As the woman reached for the phone, a restaurant employee intervened by body-slamming her to the ground. Simultaneously, her companion engaged in a separate scuffle with other workers. Patrons inside the restaurant were later seen cheering as the couple was forcibly removed from the premises.

The conflict, however, did not end there. In a subsequent clip, the woman is seen grabbing and pulling the hair of the bartender she had initially yelled at, identified as Miguel Marchese. After she let go, the bartender stormed back inside, with the woman chasing him and claiming he had her phone. As he re-entered the restaurant, someone tripped the woman, sending her sprawling onto the ground a second time.

Aftermath and Arrest

Marchese posted the three-minute compilation of clips to his TikTok account, miss_little_ranter, with the caption: "Love getting my hair pulled out and assaulted at Hazies. Just another day in hospitality." He later told local media outlet SFGate that the couple was "verbally abrasive" with a server, leading the manager to refuse them service. He stated it was "evident that they were intoxicated" and that the woman had run into the kitchen and behind the bar before the recording started.

San Francisco Police Department officers responded to the scene. "Officers developed probable cause to arrest the woman for public intoxication," SFPD Officer Robert Rueca confirmed to KTVU. The suspect was taken into custody on December 16, 2025, and transported to county jail.

The incident serves as a stark reminder of the challenges faced by hospitality workers and has sparked widespread discussion online about customer conduct and staff safety in the service industry.
