Drake Album Cover Hijacked by White House for Trump Immigration Post
White House Uses Drake Album Cover for Trump Immigration Post

Drake announced the release of three new albums shortly before midnight on Thursday, only for the official White House account to post a knock-off of his “Iceman” album Friday to promote Donald Trump’s hard-line immigration agenda.

The Altered Cover

The original cover has Drake honoring his native Toronto by forming a “6” with his hand while wearing a diamond-encrusted glove. The White House version adds a bedazzled Cuban link chain to the image with a “MAGA” pendant hanging from it.

The post’s caption reads “ICED OUT,” a reference both to the diamonds and to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the unpopular federal agency that is carrying out immigration raids, fatally shooting Americans and putting children in detention.

Drake's Response

Drake has yet to publicly comment on the White House brazenly using his new album cover.

The Trump administration frequently posts garish, artificial-intelligence-generated videos and images of Trump set to popular music on social media, often without artists’ permission.

Previous Incidents

The White House used Sabrina Carpenter’s “Juno” last year in a montage of ICE arrests it posted online. “This video is evil and disgusting. Do not ever involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda,” the singer wrote on X in response.

Multiple artists have openly condemned the administration for using their songs to promote Trump and his MAGA platform. Eminem was one of the earliest, calling Trump a “bitch” during a viral freestyle in 2017 — and receiving a visit from the Secret Service. Drake has previously denounced Trump for fostering a “flagrantly racist cultural climate” — but has yet to comment on Friday’s “ICED OUT” post.
