Renata Ford, the wife of late Toronto Mayor Rob Ford and a former federal candidate, has died. She was 58. No cause of death has been disclosed.

Political career and family ties

Ford was the People's Party of Canada candidate for Etobicoke North in the 2019 federal election. She announced her candidacy alongside party leader Maxime Bernier on June 21, 2019. She was also the sister-in-law of Ontario Premier Doug Ford.

Rob Ford's legacy

Rob Ford served as Toronto's mayor from 2010 to 2014 and died in 2016 after a battle with cancer. Renata Ford was married to him for over a decade and had two children with him.
