Millie Bobby Brown Addresses David Harbour Feud Rumours
Millie Bobby Brown on David Harbour Friendship

Rumours of a serious rift between Stranger Things stars Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour swirled earlier this month, but the actress is now setting the record straight about their enduring friendship.

Navigating the Rumours

Reports surfaced claiming that Brown had filed a formal harassment and bullying claim against her on-screen father figure, David Harbour, just before the production of the show's highly anticipated final season. The speculation intensified as fans revisited past interviews where Millie mentioned they would sometimes get angry at each other on set.

Despite the alleged pages and pages of allegations, the duo presented a united front at the Stranger Things Season 5 premiere. Shortly after, entertainment outlet Variety reported that an internal investigation had indeed been initiated following a complaint made by Brown.

A Friendship Stronger Than Fiction

In a new, revealing interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Millie Bobby Brown directly addressed the feud reports. When asked why it was crucial for her and Harbour to appear united, she emphasized the longevity of their bond.

We've been doing that for the last 10 years, Brown stated. We have always been united in that. We love this show with everything, and we value our friendship more than anything.

She expressed her joy at being able to come back together with Harbour to film the concluding chapters of the Netflix phenomenon, calling the experience so nice.

Returning to a Nostalgic Dynamic

Brown also teased what fans can expect from the dynamic between her character, Eleven, and Harbour's, Jim Hopper, in the new season. She described the experience as quite nostalgic, drawing parallels to the character conflicts seen in Seasons 2 and 3.

It was quite nostalgic because it reminded me so much of Season 2 and 3, she explained, where we're both kind of butting heads and she's growing up, she's trying to find her own voice and he's trying to parent, and that dynamic definitely comes back into play once again.

She confirmed she is really excited for people to see that familiar tension play out on screen one last time.

The first part of Stranger Things Season 5 is available to stream on Netflix now. Volume 2 is scheduled for release on December 25, with the series finale dropping on December 31.
