“Daily Show” host Jon Stewart on Monday broke down President Donald Trump’s latest boast about his own brainpower as he repeatedly bragged about passing a test meant to check for signs of cognitive decline and dementia.
During a speech in Florida, Trump said he was shown images of different animals and had to identify the bear as part of the exam. “I’m the only president to take a cognitive test,” Trump declared.
That left Stewart with one key question for the president. “Why do you think that is?” he asked. The audience laughed and cheered, but Stewart cut them off. “No, no, no! Wait a minute!” he said, and elaborated on his question.
“Why do you think that you’re the only president that that happens to?” he asked. “That for some reason, every time you go to the doctor ― which is a lot ― the doctor’s always like, ‘Hey, while you’re here, if you could come over here and just explain very quickly: Which one of these is the bear?’”
