Drew Carey launched a scathing attack on former reality TV star and Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt, branding him a “serial scammer” in a social media post. The comedian took to Threads on Friday to express his frustration, writing, “I understand being angry/unsatisfied, but at least get behind someone competent and not some serial scammer without a soul or moral compass. Fuck this guy already.”
Pratt's Response and Epstein Connection
Pratt fired back at Carey’s critique on Monday via X, alleging that Carey’s name appears in the Jeffrey Epstein files. A search of the Epstein documents reveals a 2002 email from a man named Jeff Davis to Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s imprisoned co-conspirator, claiming he had dinner with Carey. Carey’s representatives have not yet responded to requests for comment.
Pratt's Mayoral Campaign
The former star of “The Hills” announced his bid for mayor of Los Angeles roughly one year after his home was destroyed in the 2025 Pacific Palisades fire. His campaign website highlights “crisis leadership and emergency readiness” along with homelessness as key issues he intends to tackle if elected. Pratt has secured endorsements from numerous Republicans, including President Donald Trump, and has raised over ten times more in donations than incumbent Mayor Karen Bass.
However, Pratt’s sister, Stephanie Pratt, has publicly urged voters not to support him. According to The Hollywood Reporter, she wrote on X in February, “A vote for him is a vote for stupidity. He’s just trying to stay famous and sell his memoir don’t be fooled.”
