FIFA has announced a star-studded musical lineup for the opening ceremony of Canada's first FIFA World Cup game, set to take place on June 12, 2026, at Toronto Stadium (BMO Field). The ceremony will feature performances by Alanis Morissette, Michael Bublé, Alessia Cara, Elyanna, Jessie Reyez, Nora Fatehi, Sanjoy, Vegedream, William Prince, and others.
Ceremony Details
The opening ceremony will begin at 1:30 p.m. ET, approximately 90 minutes before the scheduled 3 p.m. kickoff between Canada's national men's team and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Spectators at the stadium will play an active role in the ceremony.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino said in a news release: "The opening ceremony in Toronto will be a powerful reflection of Canada's identity and the energy surrounding the FIFA World Cup 2026. Through music, culture and unforgettable performances, we will welcome the world with a celebration that is uniquely Canadian while also connected to a larger story unfolding across Mexico and the United States. It will be a moment of pride, unity and anticipation as Canada takes its place on football's biggest stage."
Three Host Nations, Three Ceremonies
As the FIFA World Cup 2026 is being co-hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States, each country will have its own opening ceremony. The Mexico City ceremony on June 11 will feature Alejandro Fernández, Belinda, Danny Ocean, J Balvin, Lila Downs, Los Ángeles Azules, Maná, and Tyla. The Los Angeles ceremony on June 12 will be headlined by Katy Perry, Future, Anitta, LISA, Rema, and Tyla, with additional artists to be announced. Each ceremony is produced in creative partnership with Balich Wonder Studio.
