Hundreds of St. Clair College students proudly crossed the stage on Thursday to collect their diplomas during the institution's 58th annual winter convocation ceremony. The event, held at the Chrysler Theatre within the St. Clair College Centre for the Arts in downtown Windsor, celebrated graduates from across all academic schools in a single afternoon session.
A Milestone Achievement for Students and College
St. Clair College president Michael Silvaggi addressed the gathering, expressing honor and pleasure in welcoming the new graduates. "It is a pleasure and an honour to welcome and recognize those individuals who — with fitting pomp and circumstance — just paraded before us: the students who will, during the course of these proceedings, be transformed into St. Clair's newest graduates," Silvaggi stated during the ceremony.
He continued with words of encouragement for the graduating class: "I urge you to do — and to enjoying doing, and to take pride in doing — good work in all of your professional endeavours in the future, from your first entry-level job to the final phases of what I am sure will be distinguished and fulfilling careers."
Expanding Alumni Network and Community Impact
The college highlighted the growing impact of its alumni network, which now includes over 150,000 graduates making contributions both locally and globally. Founded in 1966, St. Clair College continues to strengthen its community ties through such celebratory events.
Graduates from diverse programs participated in the convocation, representing schools including:
- Community Studies
- Engineering Technologies
- Health Sciences
- Nursing
- Skilled Trades & Apprenticeships

The winter convocation session not only marked the culmination of academic efforts but also served as a testament to the college's enduring commitment to education and student success in the Windsor region.
