A 34-year-old man from Smiths Falls has been charged following a rear-end collision that occurred near Carleton Place on Tuesday afternoon. The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the incident on Highway 7, just west of the town, at approximately 2:30 p.m.
Details of the Incident
According to police, a vehicle rear-ended another car that was slowing down to make a turn. The impact caused significant damage to both vehicles, but fortunately, no serious injuries were reported. The driver of the at-fault vehicle was identified and subsequently charged with careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
