Provincial police are investigating a fatal collision that claimed the life of a young pedestrian on Highway 401 in central Ontario over the weekend.

Ontario Provincial Police officers were called to the westbound lanes of Highway 401 near Cochrane Road in the Township of Cramahe late on Saturday. According to the OPP, the incident involved two vehicles. A vehicle was found parked close to the median, and a pedestrian had been struck.
