Oxford County crash involving transport truck sends one to hospital

One person was transported to hospital following a crash involving a transport truck in Oxford County on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the collision on Salford Line near Tillsonburg, Ont., at approximately 4:30 p.m.

Details of the crash

Const. Ed Sanchuk of the OPP West Region confirmed that a transport truck and another vehicle collided under unknown circumstances. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The transport truck driver was not injured.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, and charges have not yet been laid. Salford Line was closed for several hours for cleanup and investigation but has since reopened.

Safety reminder

OPP reminded the public to drive cautiously, especially on rural roads and near large trucks. “Always be aware of your surroundings and give yourself extra space when driving near transport trucks,” said Const. Sanchuk in a statement.
