An officer from the Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police was conducting speed enforcement on Highway 401 near Morrisburg recently when a vehicle was observed traveling at an extreme rate of speed. The officer clocked the vehicle moving eastbound at a staggering 239 kilometres per hour in a zone posted for 110 km/h, prompting immediate intervention.

Upon catching up to the speeding vehicle, police officers escorted it off the highway. The driver, identified as a resident of Nova Scotia, was subsequently charged with stunt driving under Ontario's Highway Traffic Act. As a result of the charge, the vehicle was impounded for a period of 14 days, and the driver's licence was suspended for 30 days within the province of Ontario.
