Edmontonians on a budget planning a summer trip to Jasper now have a fast and affordable new option with the launch of a seasonal bus service starting Thursday.
New Daily Round-Trip Service
The intercity bus service FlixBus announced on Wednesday that its new route will launch on June 18, 2026, providing daily round-trip service between Edmonton and Jasper. Passengers will enjoy direct transport to Jasper National Park and surrounding areas.
The route will operate Thursday through Monday, including the Canada Day holiday weekend. Stops in Edmonton include the Southgate Transit Centre and the downtown bus terminal near Jasper Avenue and 116 Street.
Convenient and Affordable Travel
Karina Frayter of Flix North America stated in a news release, “We’re seeing more travellers prioritize experiences when planning trips, and they’re looking for transportation options that get them there without the added cost and hassle of travelling by car.”
She added, “Jasper is one of Canada’s most sought-after destinations and by adding a direct connection from Edmonton we’re making it easier for more people to visit the region just in time for the official start of summer.”

The FlixBus vehicles are equipped with free Wi-Fi, onboard power outlets, extra legroom, and real-time trip tracking, ensuring a comfortable journey for passengers.
