A tragic head-on collision on Wednesday afternoon has claimed the lives of two individuals near Brockville, Ontario. The incident occurred on County Road 29, just northwest of the city in the vicinity of New Dublin Road.
Leeds County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to reports of a serious two-vehicle crash just before 2:30 p.m. on December 31, 2025. Upon arrival, officers discovered a devastating scene.
The drivers of both vehicles were pronounced dead at the location. They have been identified as a 66-year-old woman from Smiths Falls and a 66-year-old man from Markham, Ontario. A passenger involved in the collision sustained injuries described by police as non-life-threatening.
