Fatal Head-On Crash Claims Life of Cold Lake Man
Bonnyville RCMP have reported a tragic fatal collision that occurred on Friday morning. A 35-year-old man from Cold Lake lost his life in a head-on crash involving a pickup truck and a semi truck with an empty trailer. The incident took place on Highway 55, near Range Road 480, approximately 238 kilometers east of Edmonton.
Details of the Collision
At around 8:30 a.m., RCMP officers responded to the scene of a serious collision. Investigators determined that the crash was head-on. The driver of the pickup truck, a 35-year-old man from Cold Lake, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi truck, a 39-year-old man also from Cold Lake, was assessed for non-life-threatening injuries and subsequently transported to the hospital.
Cleanup crews worked for several hours to clear the scene on Friday, according to police.
