Keswick Landing: A Community Designed for Family Growth in Southwest Edmonton
Southwest Edmonton remains a highly desirable location for new home buyers, with one community standing out as particularly popular even seven years after its initial launch. Keswick Landing, developed by NAC, has established itself as a neighborhood where families can truly "grow into" their homes and surroundings.
A Thriving Development Entering Its Final Phases
The community is currently entering its seventh stage of development, marking significant progress toward completion. To date, more than 850 lots have been brought to market, with over 650 residents already calling Keswick Landing home. This steady growth demonstrates the neighborhood's enduring appeal in Edmonton's competitive real estate landscape.
"As we enter the final phases, it's exciting to see Keswick Landing reach its full potential and welcome more residents who will continue to shape and grow this vibrant community," said Madeline Rebeyka, marketing manager for NAC. "At the heart of Windermere, Keswick Landing brings something for everyone, which is why it's the community people keep choosing to make their home again and again."
Meeting Family Needs Through Careful Planning
The neighborhood's family-friendly design caught the attention of the Olatunde family when they were searching for a place to settle in Edmonton. Having moved from Calgary, Folaranmi Olatunde and his family initially tried downtown living but found it didn't meet their needs for family-oriented amenities and space.
After researching various Edmonton neighborhoods, they focused on finding areas with good access to parks, shopping, schools, and proximity to places they would frequent regularly. The Windermere area, and specifically Keswick Landing, emerged as the clear winner.
"We were looking for something long term that we could grow into, a growing community, schools getting built," Olatunde explained. "It just ticked all the boxes for us."
Finding the Perfect Home Model
The family ultimately chose Coventry Homes' Altair model, a two-storey, single-family home measuring approximately 1,950 square feet with three bedrooms and 2½ bathrooms. The home features thoughtful design elements including:
- Ample concealed storage in the foyer and mud room
- A walk-through pantry off the kitchen
- An upstairs bonus room separating additional bedrooms from the primary suite
Antonius Magureanu, Coventry's sales manager, noted that the Altair model starts in the mid-$500,000 range and represents one of their more popular offerings across Edmonton communities.
"The layout is well thought out, there's lots of space," said Olatunde. "We're a young family, also it's well built and it's an energy efficient home as well, and the price point was good, too."
Strategic Location and Community Amenities
Keswick Landing benefits from its position in the Windermere area of southwest Edmonton, offering residents quick access to the Anthony Henday ring road. This strategic location provides convenient connections to the broader Edmonton region while maintaining a community-focused atmosphere.
The neighborhood features multiple builders, including Akash Homes, Jayman Built, Pacesetter Homes, and StreetSide Developments alongside Coventry Homes. This variety gives homebuyers options while maintaining consistent community standards and design principles.
Coventry recently introduced a new show home in Keswick Landing called the Kepler, a 2,090-square-foot, two-storey home with five bedrooms. The design includes a front den, kitchen with connecting dining room, great room with 20-foot ceilings, and laundry conveniently located on the upper level.
A Community That Delivers on Its Promises
After nearly a year in their new home, the Olatunde family reports complete satisfaction with their choice. "It's been very good, it's a great community," Olatunde said, noting they found no negatives in their experience.
The family's decision to purchase a spec home rather than build from scratch proved practical. "We had considered building but considering what we were going to get if we built and had to wait for, this seemed like the perfect fit," Olatunde explained, adding that moving in sooner rather than waiting months for construction appealed to their family's needs.
Keswick Landing continues to demonstrate why southwest Edmonton remains a draw for homebuyers, combining thoughtful community planning, convenient location, and family-oriented design in a package that appeals to those looking for long-term residential solutions.
