Maxus Mining Expands Lotto Tungsten Project by 27% in BC

Maxus Mining Inc. has announced a 27% expansion of its Lotto Tungsten Project in British Columbia, adding 820.8 hectares through staking to bring the total project area to 3,875.2 hectares. The expansion, which secures additional prospective terrain around the Midas showing, is part of the company's strategy to strengthen its district-scale exploration position before a planned helicopter-borne VTEM electromagnetic and magnetic survey in 2026.

Strategic Expansion Details

The newly staked claims were selected to cover favourable geological and structural trends associated with known tungsten mineralization in the Kootenay region. The expansion increases the project footprint by approximately 27% and enhances the company's ability to generate and refine exploration targets.

Scott Walters, Chief Executive Officer of Maxus, stated: “This strategic claim expansion increases the Lotto Project by approximately 27% and strengthens our district-scale position ahead of our planned 2026 VTEM survey. As governments and industries continue to prioritize secure supplies of critical minerals, including tungsten, we believe Lotto offers significant exploration potential and exposure to a strategically important critical mineral.”

Low-Cost Growth and VTEM Survey Plans

The expansion was achieved through cost-effective map staking, reflecting a low-cost growth strategy. The company is preparing to complete a VTEM survey across the entire expanded land package in 2026, which will assist in target generation and refinement. The survey is expected to integrate historical data, recent field results, and geological interpretations into an evolving exploration model.

Geological Setting and Mineralization

The Lotto Project is located 19 kilometres west-southwest of Castlegar, British Columbia, accessible via the Crowsnest Highway. Geologically, the area is underlain by rocks of the Coryell Plutonic Suite, with east-west trending breccia zones crosscutting the intrusive package. Younger quartz and quartz-magnetite vein stockworks overprint the country rocks and older breccias, particularly along structural margins. Molybdenite mineralization has also been reported within and along the edges of breccia zones, as well as in shear zones associated with chlorite-magnetite alteration.

About the Lotto Project

The project now comprises 3,875.2 hectares prospective for tungsten and other critical metals in the Kootenay region and Trail Creek Mining Division. The area benefits from excellent infrastructure, supporting ongoing exploration and development. The expansion strengthens Maxus's position as governments and industries seek secure supplies of critical minerals like tungsten.
