York Regional Police have laid dozens of charges against four individuals believed to be part of a violent auto theft group operating in the Greater Toronto Area. The suspects are accused of being involved in a series of vehicle thefts and related crimes across the region.

Investigation Details

Police launched an investigation after a spike in auto thefts and violent incidents linked to organized crime. The probe, dubbed Project Warden, led to the identification of four suspects who allegedly worked together to steal vehicles and resell them. Authorities say the group used violence to intimidate victims and evade law enforcement.

Charges Filed

The four suspects face a combined 58 charges, including theft of motor vehicle, possession of stolen property, conspiracy to commit an indictable offense, and assault with a weapon. Two of the accused are also charged with dangerous driving and flight from police.
