BTB Real Estate Investment Trust (TSX: BTB.UN) has announced the successful election of all trustee nominees proposed in its Management Information Circular dated May 12, 2026. The election took place during the Annual General Meeting held in Montréal today.
Election Results
All nine trustee nominees were elected by a substantial majority of unitholders. The detailed voting results are as follows:
- Armand Des Rosiers: 20,899,107 votes for (94.34%), 1,254,191 withheld (5.66%)
- Sylvain Fortier: 20,793,117 votes for (93.86%), 1,360,181 withheld (6.14%)
- Jean-Pierre Janson: 20,859,082 votes for (94.16%), 1,294,216 withheld (5.84%)
- Sylvie Lachance: 20,858,303 votes for (94.15%), 1,294,995 withheld (5.85%)
- Michel Léonard: 20,868,014 votes for (94.20%), 1,285,284 withheld (5.80%)
- Christine Marchildon: 20,854,507 votes for (94.14%), 1,298,791 withheld (5.86%)
- Luc Martin: 20,881,474 votes for (94.26%), 1,271,824 withheld (5.74%)
- Darcy Morris: 20,829,695 votes for (94.03%), 1,323,603 withheld (5.97%)
- Carol A. Paradine: 20,865,649 votes for (94.19%), 1,287,649 withheld (5.81%)

New Trustees Bring Diverse Expertise
BTB welcomes two new trustees: Darcy Morris and Carol A. Paradine.
Darcy Morris
Mr. Morris is Co-Founder and CEO of Ewing Morris & Co. Investment Partners, an independent Canadian private wealth firm. He previously served as a Portfolio Manager at MacDougall, MacDougall & MacTier Inc. and as an Associate at Burgundy Asset Management. He brings extensive public company board experience, currently serving on the Board of The Caldwell Partners International Inc. (TSX: CWL) and previously at Quisitive Technology Solutions, Inc., Cedar Realty Trust, Inc., and ZCL Composites Inc. He holds an Honours BA in Political Studies and Economics from Queen’s University and the CIM designation. He is a YPO member and has served as Treasurer of the Toronto Public Library Foundation and President of the AGO Foundation.
Carol A. Paradine
Ms. Paradine served as CEO of the Canadian Public Accountability Board from 2018 to 2026 and represented Canada on the International Forum of Independent Audit Regulators. Previously, she was an audit partner at Deloitte Canada and a board member, as well as CFO of the Canadian audit firm and corporate controller of a public technology company. She is Past-Chair of the Alzheimer Society of Toronto and has held numerous board and committee roles, including at the Alzheimer Society of Canada, CentrePort Canada, and YMCA-YWCA National Capital Region. She also coached youth soccer and lectured at Carleton University.
