For the twelfth year in a row, BASF Canada has secured a prestigious position among Canada's Top 100 Employers. This esteemed award, administered by Mediacorp Canada Inc., identifies national industry leaders in offering exceptional workplaces for their employees.
Sustained Excellence in Employee Care
The recognition underscores BASF's long-term commitment to its workforce. Mediacorp, the nation's largest publisher of employment periodicals, evaluated companies across eight rigorous criteria, including physical workplace, health benefits, and community involvement. BASF was lauded for its comprehensive programs that support both personal well-being and professional advancement.
These initiatives include robust offerings such as fitness reimbursements, tuition subsidies, and extensive mentorship programs. The company also provides significant psychological and physical health benefits, alongside employee referral bonuses, creating a supportive environment for career growth.
A Culture of Community and Inclusion
Beyond internal benefits, BASF fosters a deeply engaging and inclusive workplace culture. This is demonstrated through active employee participation in community-focused events. Notably, the BASF Canada team recently raised over $30,000 for breast cancer research through initiatives like the Run for the Cure.
Other highlighted activities include employee volunteering during BASF’s National Chemistry Week celebrations at the Royal Ontario Museum and organizing tree planting events across the country. These efforts reinforce a company culture centered on connection and giving back.
Leadership and Further Accolades
Marian Van Hoek, Managing Director of BASF Canada, expressed pride in the achievement. "At BASF, we continue to strengthen our culture of collaboration, well-being and purpose," said Van Hoek. "Being named a Top 100 Employer for the 12th year is a proud moment that reflects our commitment to investing in our people."
This is not the only recent honor for the chemical giant. BASF's dedication has also earned it other distinguished titles in 2025, including Top Employers for Young People, Best Diversity Employer, and Greater Canada’s Top Employers.
BASF Canada, headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario, employs approximately 1,100 people across the country and reported sales of $2.6 billion in 2024.
