An Ontario man was charged after driving the wrong way on a highway ramp and attempting to slash another vehicle's tire during a road rage incident on an Ottawa highway, according to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon on Highway 417 in Ottawa. Police say a driver was travelling the wrong way on an on-ramp before confronting another motorist. The suspect then attempted to slash the victim's tire with a knife.
OPP officers responded to the scene and arrested the individual without further incident. The suspect faces multiple charges, including dangerous driving and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
No injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
