Unifor Begins 2026 Auto Negotiations with Ford Motor Company

TORONTO, June 18, 2026 /CNW/ – Unifor, Canada's largest private-sector union, will commence the 2026 auto negotiations with Ford Motor Company on Monday, June 22, 2026. The opening ceremony will take place at the Sheraton Centre Toronto, featuring a ceremonial handshake and media opportunities.

Event Details

The negotiations will kick off with a photo opportunity at approximately 11:00 a.m., where media will be escorted to the bargaining room for the handshake and b-roll footage. No questions will be taken during this time. Following the bargaining session, Unifor will hold a media conference at 1:00 p.m. in the City Hall Room. A Zoom link and call-in line will be provided for remote participants.
