Guelph man charged after neighbourhood dispute

A Guelph man is facing charges after a neighbourhood dispute on Monday evening. Guelph Police Service officers responded to a call in the area of Victoria Road North and Woodlawn Road around 6:30 p.m. following reports of a disturbance.

Upon arrival, police say they located a man who was allegedly involved in a verbal altercation with a neighbour. The situation escalated, leading to the man being taken into custody without incident. No injuries were reported.

The accused, a 34-year-old Guelph resident, has been charged with causing a disturbance and mischief. He is scheduled to appear in court at a later date. Police are reminding residents to resolve disputes peacefully and to contact authorities if situations become volatile.
