Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid firearms charges after executing a search warrant at a residence in Tillsonburg. The warrant was carried out by officers from the Norfolk County OPP detachment, with assistance from the OPP Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit.
Details of the Investigation
On May 1, 2026, at approximately 7:00 a.m., police executed the warrant at a home on Rolph Street in Tillsonburg. During the search, officers seized a quantity of firearms and ammunition. As a result, one individual has been charged with multiple firearms-related offenses.
The accused, a 42-year-old man from Tillsonburg, faces charges including unauthorized possession of a firearm, careless storage of a firearm, possession of a prohibited device, and failure to comply with a prohibition order. He was held for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
