Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police have arrested two individuals in Mount Forest following a drug trafficking investigation. The arrests were made after a targeted probe by the OPP's community street crimes unit.
Details of the Investigation
The investigation, which began several weeks ago, culminated in the execution of a search warrant at a residence on Eliza Street in Mount Forest. Police seized a quantity of suspected fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine, along with Canadian currency and drug paraphernalia.
Charges Laid
A 33-year-old man from Mount Forest faces charges including possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, and breach of probation. A 29-year-old woman from the same area has been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.
Both accused were held for a bail hearing and are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
